CV SAMIRY v angličtině , about Samira in english SAMIRA ♥♥♥ A belly and flamenco dancer with an education in psychology. She began her adventure with dance as a child in the modern dance troupe of the Wrocław dance school “Jast” of which she was a member for several years and appeared in shows and tournaments in Poland and abroad. After several years of searching, her real passion turned out to be oriental and gypsy dance techniques. She took her first steps in flamenco Grażyna Adamczyk’s dance school “Alejandra”. Under her wings, she also began to perform with the ”Ritmo Flamenco” and “Manos y Tacones” dance troupes. During the last 20 years of work, she participated in numerous courses conducted in Poland and abroad, but primarily worked individually and took lessons from such valued artists as: Carmen de Torres, Juan Polvillo, Ana Maria Amahi, Araceli de Alcala, Adela Campallo, El Torombo, and Mercedes Ruiz. Normally, she is a dancer in the well known Polish dance troupes: “Danza del Fuego”, “Los Bomberos”, “Tanto Flamenco” and “Rumbero Flamenco”. As part of dance troupes, she has appeared in many dance, guitar, and folk festivals. In 2003, she received a scholarship at the Juan Polvillo Escuela Flamenca in Seville. In 2004, she took first place in a competition for the best Polish flamenco dancer during the Third Łódź Flamenco Festival and won the Audience Award. She worked with the Slovakian-Spanish troupe “Agustito”. She performed not only in many Polish cities, but also in Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria, France, Sweden, Denmark and also in Slovakia, Latvia, and Belarus. She shaped her Egyptian style oriental dance techniques under the supervision of many teachers including, among others, participating in courses conducted by Zaza Hassan, Ehab Atia, Khaled Mahmoud, Orit Maftsir, Nour, and also the stars of Bellydance Superstars – Jillina and Bożenka. Normally performs solo as “Samira” and also conducts workshops at the invitation of the largest festivals and dance schools in Poland. In 2004-2006, she conducted regular oriental and flamenco dance classes at the Klub pod Kolumnami in Wrocław and in the Płock Cultural Centre. She is the co-author of the of the project “From the Orient to Flamenco” which combines the art of flamenco with her roots – oriental music and belly dancing. This project took second place at the “Ethnosfera 2002” International Folk Festival. For several years she was the artistic director of the “Nova Orient” Belly Dance Festival in Katowice and also one of the best known and valued flamenco and oriental dance instructors in Poland. She combines her interest in dance with other huge passions and as such, in 2005 she earned a degree in psychology at the University of Wrocław with a master’s thesis titled “The influence of dance on the perception of the quality of life”. She is a frequent guest on the radio and television, and worked for three years with TV Polsat and TVP 2 recording programmes for children and youth: “Pamiętnik Nastolatki” (“Diary of a Teenager”) and “Truskawkowe Studio” (“Strawberry Studio”). Currently, aside from on stage activities, she conducts oriental and flamenco dance at the biggest and most famous courses and vacation workshops in Poland. During several years she was invited by: The International Guitar Course in Krzyżowa, Łódź Flamenco Festival, Nova Orient Festival, Lądek Zdrój Summer Dance Festival, Ewa Wycichowska’s International Modern Dance Festival “Dancing Poznań”, International Jazz Dance Festival in Kielce, International Dance Festival “Dance Yourself” in Świnoujście.
